Was unaware of the "bug" problem which I caught within 24 hours of arrival. Resulting in extremely unpleasant sickness and vomiting. This spoilt 4 of my 7 days holiday. Nobody told me the local "carnival" started Thursday through to the following Monday resulting in Ghetto blasting music and singing virtually every night until 5am in the mornings!! We have been coming to this hotel for six years and stayed 10 times. But this time we found some of the bar staff very miserable, in fact a few are damn right rude. The entertainment has gone downhill too, some nights there was only 30 people in the entertainment room, so no atmosphere. This was our third visit to the Cay Sun Beach Aparthotel in Playa Blanca. Unlike many of the hotels in the resort it is within easy reach of both the beach (5 minute walk) and the Town Centre (12 minute walk). The rooms are spacious and well equipped with a kettle, microwave oven, fridge and television. If you require air conditioning there is an extra cost. Also there is a charge for the safe deposit box. Went to the Bonaire for the 4th year in a row. As always the apartments and grounds were spotless and well-maintained. On arrival our air con was broken and we reported it to reception. It was fixed within 30 mins. The pool was very busy and quite noisy so if you like peace and quiet this is not the place for you.
